I thought about leaving full time work and starting my own business as a professional typist for a long time, but financially it is not an easy thing to do and it is hard to walk away from the security of a full time wage.
Fortunately, my husband's business (he made the jump when he was made redundant and so had nothing to lose) started to make a substantial profit, and he agreed to support me whilst I made the transition. So, I finally did it and left full time work and set up Typing Services.
In my previous role as a Clinical Secretary, I transcribed hundreds of digital transciption files, mainly into medical reports but I did lots of other stuff too, such as mintutes of meetings, letters, patient notes, newsletters, you name it, I have transcribed it. However, although I was fast at typing, I didn't type professionally as a speed typist would do, and I didn't use the right fingers for the right keys, and had to look at the keyboard. In the interim of setting up Typing Services, I taught myself to type professionally, using an online training programme that can be found at www.typeonline.co.uk.
It's taken me a while and it requires hours of patience, dertermination and practice but I am now typing at a professional standard, using the correct fingers for the correct keys and I can type with my eyes closed.
It has been like a drug learning to type because once I could remember which fingers used which keys, it was just a case of practising, and I did speed test after speed test measuring my WPM. It is a great feeling of acheivement when you can see your speed of WPM slowly increasing.
Now that I am ready, Typing Services has been launched, and I am eagerly awaiting to do your typing work. So don't delay, send it today, and I will do it straight away for you.
I donate 10% of all my profits to local, national and international charities, so you can rest assured, not only are you getting all your typing done, you are also donating to a worthy cause.
I believe in delivering a personal service tailored to clients indivdual requirements
